Medium- and high-voltage asynchronous motors from 3 kV to 13.8 kV: squirrel-cage versions up to 25 MW and slip-ring (wound-rotor) versions up to 8 MW.
High-voltage motors are the standard answer for large drives where low-voltage cabling and switchgear costs become prohibitive. MST Motor builds for 3,000, 3,300, 4,160, 6,000, 6,600, 10,000, 11,000 and 13,800 V at 50 and 60 Hz; frame size, IP rating, rotor construction, bearing type and cooling method (IC611, IC616, IC666, IC81W, IC86W) are selected for the application.
Typical applications: fan and mill drives in power stations and cement plants, mine hoists and crushers, steel rolling mills, large pumps and compressors, and marine propulsion.
