Medium-Voltage Electric Motors (3 – 13.8 kV)
Medium-voltage motors are high-power motors rated 3 – 10 kV, used in large mechanical equipment such as mining, metallurgy, pump and fan stations. MST Motor builds every motor to the customer's requirements: frame size, IP rating, rotor construction, bearing type, lifting and jacking arrangements, sensors and heaters are defined at order stage.
The stator core is silicon steel and the rotor a high-conductivity copper alloy; the advanced electromagnetic design gives high efficiency at full load. The fully enclosed cast-iron housing is rated IP44, IP54 or IP55, with an oil-seal sleeve at the shaft end against dust and moisture. High-speed DSP-based vector control with precision sensor monitoring keeps speed within a tight tolerance.
