YBX3 Low-Voltage Ex-Proof Motor
The YBX3 series is built in the flameproof (d) type of protection to GB 3836.1 / 3836.2 (equivalent to IEC 60079-0 / 60079-1) and suits fixed equipment in underground coal mines and in explosive gas atmospheres of groups IIA / IIB / IIC, temperature classes T1 – T4.
The stator core is punched from high-permeability, low-loss cold-rolled silicon steel; the wound stator is consolidated by VPI vacuum pressure impregnation. Insulation is class F while the temperature rise is assessed to class B, giving a wide thermal margin and long life. The cast-aluminium rotor is hot-fitted to the shaft and dynamically balanced.
Frames H63 – H160 use sealed bearings with seals on both sides, H160 – H225 are prepared for regreasing in operation and H250 and above are fitted with regreasing devices. The fan is anti-static plastic with large blades and a small diameter; the fan cover is steel plate with 8 × 8 mm openings (IP20).
