Flameproof asynchronous motors rated Ex d I Mb, Ex d IIB T4 Gb and Ex d IIC T4 Gb; 0.75 – 315 kW at low voltage, 185 – 2,240 kW at high voltage.
In an explosion-proof (Ex d) motor the enclosure is designed so that an ignition inside cannot propagate to the explosive atmosphere outside: flame paths are long and narrow, covers are thick and every part withstands high pressure. MST Motor's YBX3 series cast-iron motors are built on this principle and certified to IEC 60079 / GB 3836.
The products suit underground coal mines (Group I), petrochemical, natural gas, paint and pharmaceutical plants (Groups IIA/IIB/IIC, temperature classes T1–T4) and dusty environments. Standard protection is IP55, cooling IC411 and mounting IMB3; IMB35, IMB5 and IMV1 arrangements are built on request.
