LIMITEX Position Type
Rugged and reliable, the LIMITEX position limit switch is designed to control the movement of overhead travelling cranes, hoists and industrial machine tools operating in potentially explosive areas. It operates as an auxiliary controller of electric motors through a power interface such as a contactor or PLC.
The cross rods move to 3 or 4 maintained positions, with movement every 90°. The switch is equipped with 1NO+1NC snap-action switches or, on request, 1NC slow-action switches; all NC contacts have positive opening operation and are suitable for safety functions. A modular adapter with fixing points is standard.
The rugged external enclosure is made of G20 cast iron and protects against water and dust; the cross-rod support is zinc alloy. Internal components are made of materials that guarantee long mechanical life and continuous performance. Rod lengths from 100 to 300 mm; rod, rod-and-roller and T-type rod actuators are available.
