VFD-Ready (Variable-Frequency) Motor
A VFD-ready motor adapts its speed to the load as the drive changes voltage and frequency. A high-strength housing, quality copper windings and an insulation system that withstands inverter pulses keep it safe at low speed; the separately powered cooling fan (IC416) maintains cooling at low rpm.
It runs at constant torque from 3 to 50 Hz and at constant power above: 2-pole motors to 50 – 60 Hz, 4- to 6-pole motors to 50 – 100 Hz.
